High Challenge, High Support Statistics Course Available Free through Canvas

The California Acceleration Project is excited to share a full high challenge, high support Statistics course. An adaptation of the Open Learning Initiative’s Concepts of Statistics, this course is delivered through Canvas for face-to-face or online instruction, with 180+ interactive exercises and quizzes with immediate feedback. 

These open, free materials can be edited in Canvas to meet your college’s specific course needs. They have been class tested in California community colleges for teaching college Statistics or Statistics with Corequisite Support. Features include:

  • A student workbook with 70+ class activities, labs and projects;
  • An associated instructor’s manual with full facilitation notes that utilize the CAP Curricular Design Principles;
  • Integrated activities, strategies and tips for addressing the affective side of learning to keep students productively engaged.

The course meets current standards for accessibility in the CVC-OEI Course Design Rubric and WCAG 2.1 (formal validation pending).
